Welcome back to Italian!
Do you know a little bit of Italian, perhaps from a previous course or trip to Italy, and do you want to refresh your memory and learn more? And do you prefer a course that is taught in English? Then this is the course for you! You can join this course if you can introduce yourself in easy Italian and talk simply about yourself.

Ciao, come ti chiami?
You will refresh the essentials so that you can talk to Italians about selected topics.
You will learn to talk about yourself and other people, for example about your job or the city you live in.

You will learn many words related to food, which is very important in the Italian culture, and how to order at an Italian bar or restaurant.

You will also learn to talk about your home: do you live in a house or an apartment?

In class, we practice different situations you might experience on your travels, so that you know what to say when you want to buy a train ticket, find the right street or visit a museum. You will also learn how to ask for assistance in an Italian hotel if something does not work.
Not least, you will keep on learning the foundations of Italian grammar, for example verbs and nouns, so you can build short sentences to describe your daily life.

The course is designed to encourage you to talk as much as possible and learn to pronounce words correctly. To make you speak Italian as fast as possible, your teacher will be speaking Italian most of the time. But he/she will explain grammar and other things in English.
You and your fellow students will practice and develop your Italian through role-plays and exercises which strengthen your ability to have a conversation. Discussions will be based on a variety of things such as pictures, texts, video clips and audio files.

You will receive access to our online digital platform, Moodle. Moodle provides a comprehensive overview of the entire course. You will also be able to contact your classmates and discuss the activities taking place in your class.
On Moodle you can:

• see the plan for the course, the individual teaching sessions and homework


• see teaching materials including extra materials such as videos


• communicate with your teacher and your fellow students


• follow up and catch up on lessons missed if you are absent during the course
